New Arrival Drops Early September 2025

Some shirts are just patterns.
The Koi is a story.

Launching early September, the DVM1259 Koi Camp Shirt captures more than style, it channels a powerful symbol from centuries of Japanese culture and places it within the unmistakable energy of Da Vinci California.

The Meaning Behind the Koi

In Japanese culture, the koi fish has long represented more than beauty. Known for their ability to swim upstream against strong currents, koi symbolize perseverance, ambition, strength, and transformation. In many legends, most famously the tale of the koi swimming up the Yellow River and transforming into a dragon, they embody the idea that courage and resilience can elevate us to greatness.

Their elegant form and dynamic movement make them natural design icons. But when you really understand what they stand for, never backing down, never giving in, they take on a deeper meaning.

From art to wear—see how Koi motifs make a journey from tradition into style.

The Shirt

The "Koi" is printed on lightweight 100% viscose moss crepe (132gsm) for fluid movement and all-day comfort. It’s cut in Da Vinci’s signature camp shirt silhouette, featuring:

  • An oversized allover koi print that flows across the shirt in vibrant, sculptural motion

  • A pyjama collar, double chest pockets, and faux double-layer detailing for balance and edge

  • Decorative pick stitching and our signature Fleur de Lis embroidery at the back yoke

  • Imitation akoya shell buttons for a soft vintage finish

Every detail is intentional. Every stitch flows with the design. Every color speaks to motion.

Wear What It Means

You don’t just wear the Koi for the look, you wear it for what it represents: pushing forward, standing out, evolving, and flowing with confidence.

As we head into the fall, the Koi becomes more than a seasonal standout. It becomes your symbol of shift, a visual expression of what it means to show up, push back, and move forward on your own terms.

Available early September — limited drop.
