How to Look Damn Good in LA This Halloween
Halloween in Los Angeles is not subtle.
There will be fake blood. There will be capes. There will be people who have spent three weeks constructing something they will have to explain to everyone they meet.
We have another idea.
Just look really, really good.
If costumes are your thing, go for it. But if you would rather spend Halloween looking like yourself, only considerably better dressed, a great shirt can do most of the work for you.
NO MASK REQUIRED.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: GO BOLD
If you're heading toward West Hollywood on Halloween night, subtlety is probably not the assignment.
This is Leppard territory.

With its authentic vintage cheetah print, bold golden tones and unmistakable personality, Leppard was never meant to blend into the crowd. Wear it slightly oversized and relaxed over a simple white tee. Pair it with navy velvet tuxedo trousers and classic sneakers for a look that mixes old-school sophistication with a little California attitude.
It's unexpected, effortlessly cool and just dressed up enough for a night out.
When everybody else is wearing a costume, sometimes the boldest move is simply having great style.
OLD HOLLYWOOD: CLEAN IT UP
Halloween does not necessarily mean dressing down.
If your night involves cocktails, a hotel bar, dinner or somewhere with a little old Hollywood atmosphere, this is where Gambino comes in. The chainstitch embroidery does the talking, so keep everything else simple. Black trousers, a good shoe and maybe a jacket for arrival.
Then lose the jacket.
Hollywood has spent nearly a century perfecting the art of looking like you did not try very hard.
We suggest doing the same.
HALLOWEEN, THE DA VINCI WAY
Who says Halloween has to be all black and orange?
A little vintage style, a relaxed attitude and a few strategically placed pumpkins can go a long way.
Our Decades shirt in Sepia Rose brings a touch of California heritage to the occasion. With its signature pyjama collar, decorative front panel stitching and soft moss crepe fabric, it's a nod to the past without looking like you've stepped out of a time machine.
Pair it with dark trousers, throw on a vintage white tee underneath and let the shirt do the talking.
After all, dressing for Halloween doesn't mean you have to dress up.
Sometimes all you need is a little old-school charm, a good shirt and a pumpkin or two.
FOR WHEREVER YOU END UP AFTERWARDS
Every good Los Angeles night has at least one destination nobody mentioned when the evening started.
That calls for Luca. Color blocking, contrast and just enough swagger to take you from dinner to drinks to the place somebody insists you absolutely have to see. Or go with Retro Rocket 2.0 if you prefer your Halloween with a little more space-age weirdness.
Either way, the rule is the same:
Wear something you will still like when you see the photographs tomorrow.
